i haven;t read this one yet but sounds good suzanne can you send me the first couple of chapters from this author i would really like to read this one , thanks
Okay, seems I've done it again - my first response was for fiction and vice versa - seems I can only read one read at a a time and respond or I get mixed up - (senior moments?) - tho I find I'm hearing younger people are having these "senior moments" also - (misery does love company) -
I just finished this book last week. Loved it! Elements of D. Koontz and P. Cornwell twisted together. It made me go out to get another of Gerritsen's books.
I was tired and waiting for medication to take effect when I statred reading my e-mails. This immediately caught my attention. I read two days offerings and can't wait for Wednesday's. I'm going to put this author on my reading list!
Oh - what horrible place to end the selection - now I have to wait until tomorrow! I'm worried about our dear sweet Alice. This Elijah character has something evil planned - I just know it!
I checked my library right after finishing today's read: they have 2 copies - both checked out. I am on hold - which is probably good as I would've sat up tonight reading.
This is the first I have read of Tesses' work, I love it! It captured me from the start and hasn't let go yet! As another reader wrote, I can't wait till tomarrow for the next installment! I will certainly buy this book, but am hopeful that it is sold as an audio book also!
but she can't die yet, can she - 'cause the pathologist when examining the dead body sees "herself" and discovers she is her twin - didn't I read that - and she is a grown woman - so Alice does have to live to be an adult, doesn't she? -
I was thinking this whole time that Alice was the pathologist - grown up. I was thinking maybe this experience was what got her interested in pathology. Since Suzanne started putting the book jacket blurb at the end of the read, I hardly ever think to read it. So I got online and read it. Now I'm really scared for our poor Alice. I don't think she's making it out. They say that most serial killers begin by torturing animals. I will have to get this one soon.
Oof! That was a tense read! I've read Tess Gerritsen before and she just gets better.
Somehow I don't think Alice is going to be able to get out of the hole but....you never know.
You could almost hear suspensful music in the background as the 2 characters walked into the isolated woods. "Run, Alice," I was thinking. I AM DEFINITELY CHECKING THIS OUT OF THE LIBRARY.
This book is very cool so far. I used to be on the teen reader but it was too easy and the books wern't the ones i get into very easily. I can't wait till tomarrow's e-mail.
I don't usually like suspense, it makes me nervous at night. I think I'll have to make an exception for this one and hope for the best because I have to know what happens. It sounds like we all feel alike.
Well, this has really been a gripping read. And it is out at our library plus there is a waiting list so I have to wait for 9 more people to read what few copies they have!
I could just think, never mind the darn catacombs, what happened to Alice? as I was reading. Good atmosphere in today's scene though although I didn't need those quotes to start my day. I'd rather be thankful for it than think I may not last the day!
So glad I joined this book club. Thanks Suzanne.
Thanks Suzanne for introducing us to another author. I haven't read anything from this author before, but I have to finish this one. I kept building all week and I couldn't wait to see what was next.
What a wonderful description of the Catacombs. I was there in the catacombs in Paris 5 years ago. If you ever go to Paris it is worth it to see them. I will be reading this book. It had good reviews.
Okay just checked this out at the library last night. It is soo good.I am almost half way through it already.I think they just may have found Alice's remains.Good pick.
