Hollywood homicide detective Petra Connor has helped psychologist Alex Delaware crack tough cases in the past. And in Jonathan Kellerman's New York Times bestseller Billy Straight she took the lead in the desperate hunt for a teenage runaway stalked by a vengeful murderer. Now the complex and wryly compassionate Petra is once again at the center of the action, in a novel of cunning twists and page-turning suspense.

Oh good, this will make up for having already read the mystery selection. Kellerman is always a good read and I haven't read this one yet.

Chris

Try the Alex Delaware books by Kellerman. They are a delight. I predict you may be hooked. Faye Kellerman (his wife) writes well, too. These are mystery books.

Faye Kellerman

I recommend the Faye Kellerman books too, her series with Peter & Rina. I learned a lot of interesting things about orthodox Judaism plus I like the characters. Good development of characters over the series. Actually, I like her books better than her husband's.

I agree with you Pam, I've read the entire "Peter Deckerman, Rina Lazeras series and anxiously await the next installment. This series has taught me alot about traditional orthodox Judiasm. You are right, the characters are throughly explored and developed. I feel like I know them well and can really picture where they live and work.

I can't say I really got into this book this week but I'll read it eventually when I find it at the library. So far though, I don't really care much what happens to these characters or 'who dunnit'.

I haven't read any books by this author before - mysteries weren't really my "read" style - but this one has me wanting me - will definitely get the book!
