Romance?

Is this a romance? Who will be the two main characters? So far, I really don't care for this book. Too hard to tell where it is heading.

Good One!

I bought this book. Its pretty good. I starts out kind of harsh but is about an injured prince who turns to dark magic for answers and a way to wreak revenge on his enemy. The book starts out with what happened to his enemy to make him do some horrific things.
The Succubi (lady) is just being what she is when she gets sucked into the sceme and tragidy and hallarity that comes from her situation.
It is writen at an interesting time in history…supposedly the time of Prince Vlad Dracula (the original) in Transylvania (Serbia).
The next book is:

Dream of Me - looks better-don't know if it is out yet

"Dating without Novacaine" is Lisa Cache's non-romance book. I found it fun to read. It is for every woman who has had the joys and pains of dating.

Dream of Me was not the best paranormal book I've read but for a break in, new idea for a romance thought it was pretty good.

romance as paranormal?

April 27 2005, 12:41 PM

I've been reading all week, but have to say this is definitely NOT my cup of tea. I'll probably finish the selections, but won't be looking to read the whole book.

That said, I applaud Suzanne for providing choices beyond what I might pick up for myself. Maybe I would have found I loved this sort of thing, but had never known it!

I agree

I agree that Suzanne has to pick all different types of romance books. No matter what she does chose, there will always be someone who doesn't like it. You can't please everyone all of the time.

Are you guys NUTS! This latest installment has just got me hooked. I've never read a paranoral romance, and I was a little sceptical at first. I mean, how can you like the main character if he's an evil-doing demon who wants to conquer the world.

But now I think this demon has got a few things to worry about when he does make it over to the mortal world.

Lucia, even at 14, seems like she can hold her own. Theron's not gonna just walk in and rule this one!

Can't wait for the rest of the installments, and I'm pretty sure I'll look this one up for a read.

Uncomfortably Provocative

April 28 2005, 4:17 PM

This is not my usual genre of romance novels, but it certainly does make you squirm in your seat! It is nice to get a chance to "try on" a different story line.

I hope this flashes forward a few years before the story progresses too much further. I'm not at all comfortable with the ages of the leading characters. It's perverse to have a 14-year old girl be the object of sexual desire.

Dream of Me

This book caught me by surprise. I didn't know what to expect when I read the insert, but I knew it would be different. It got my attention and now I have to see how it ends

surprise surprise

April 29 2005, 9:29 PM

I've only just joined this online book club. I enjoy historical romances when I'm feeling stressed with work - to me they're the perfect genre for relaxing. A predictable format and it always ends well, no bizarre twists at the end.

I got my first installment on Thursday and I did not like this book at all. However, I became intrigued as I read on. Now I want to know what's going to happen, so I've ordered the book from my local library.
