I read this one a while ago and, like most Rendell's, I liked it.

I love Ruth Rendell's books. I know this will be on my check out list before the end of the week.

Often there are situations that lead to giving people lodaging there is a bad seed or a dicy person like a murderer.

Well, I've just now read no.s 4 and 5. The last ended on such a howlingly creepy note that I've changed my mind about this book. Great characters. Hard to bear that last note of guilt.
