Story Time
by Edward Bloor
Buy book: $11.40

From the author of "Tangerine" and "Crusader" comes this bitterly funny satire about the state of modern education and standardized testing.

A bit iffy

May 24 2005, 7:26 PM

It sounds interesting and funny, but I don't really like the ideas of demons and devils. The family characters are truly weird! Kate (I'm guessing 12-13) wants to fly in Peter Pan and her grandparents are weird. It's funny because my family is a bit like theirs too. My aunt (who is 9) is my grandpa's daughter, and my dad's step sister (even weirder)!

Okay, George's parents are really, really weird, im not even joking, they like have gone off the deep end. And im not really interested in stuff to do with devils/demons. I will read it for the rest of the week, but im not going to take it out.

To reader, from jodi:

May 27 2005, 3:54 PM

Hey if you're reading this and want to find out for yourself they main plot line don't read this.

Reader:
It's pretty much about that Kate and George end ukp going to the school and things are miserable. some weird things are oncovered about the family that runs the school and the library, kates family and these deomons that live in books. It isn't really about demons that much though. Kate is ahving a horrible time there and George begins to hate it. They do tests all day and if you don't meet expectations they make you drink protein drinks and have brain simulitants. THis isn't a very good description, sorry.

Anyway this segment doesn't really do a very good showing the reader what the book is about.

Who wouldn't want Grandparents who clogged and wore funky clothes. Life is a lot more interesting when you're surrounded by people who know how to have fun!
