Lady's Choice

They say never to judge a book by it's cover but unfortunately I do when it comes to book covers and I am so glad I am apart of this online book club because I would never have picked up this book other wise. I have enjoyed reading Lady's Choice because I can relate to Reggie's reaction after given an ultimatum, I would have done the same thing. I also believe that too find my true love it will need to be in someone that can look deep down and know that without a shadow of a doubt he's found a diamond in the rough w/ me and that in time he will see the treasure that he has found in me will be unburied for the rest of the world to see as well. I think this book has already started out w/ a little humor that too is a big part of my life and I can't wait to read on :)

Not Fabio!

Luckily the guy on the cover is NOT Fabio (ugg!) He is much better looking than Fabio…but who cares about the cover. You know the author doesn't get to pick the picture. The publishing house does. I've read books where the guy or girl on the front has the wrong hair color for the characters in the book. I perfer to leave it up to my imagination and have no picture at all!

We are not chancing that our interest is sparked by the cover in this book club. We have already gotten to the meat of the subject…the writing.

I Love the start of this book. Humour, info and action all rolled into a NOT boring beginning.

I"m ordering this one right now. If an author can start out this good I will read on.

I say again…who cares about the cover. I have one of those nifty knitted book covers. So no one has to see the publishers cheesy pictures.

The author has absolutely NO say in what goes on the cover. So ignore it. As the old saying goes...."Don't judge a book by it's cover."

Wow! What a wonderful idea to have a book cover. I agree with you, that I don't let the cover influence me as I've also found them not to be true to the contents. So far this book has caught my interest and I'm checking my library. If they don't have it then I'm off to the book store.

I really like this book. I'm going to look for it at my local library. If I cannot find it then I will go to a bookstore and buy a copy. I agree that it has a very interesting and fun beginning. I also agree w/the other person that authors are not always allowed to choose their book covers. Well I'll keep reading.

He has a past

I enjoyed learning more of Reggie and Adam in Thursdays reading. But I am a little confused, if someone can help me out? If Reggie didn't know the guys were coming how did she know to put on such a good show with her yelling, looks, and attitude? I must have missed something.

I look forward to learn more about their past and then how their future comes together.

That confused me too!

I agree! I thought she knew the men were coming and put on a show for them to put them off! I'm still interested in finishing the book to see how things unravel. Who cares about the picture on the cover! That's what imagination is for. Create your own images. I always do.
