Buy book: $6.29

A very confused Viking finds himself hurtled through time to face the rigorous ordeals of the Navy SEALs. Yet while his brawn allows him to easily adapt to the military, he's no match for one of the most difficult challenges of all--the modern-day woman.

Thank you!

Thank you so much for adding my
book WET AND WILD to your reading
lists. I should tell you that
this book is the first of my
Viking Navy SEALs. Yes, I have
a tenth century Viking warrior
somehow land in the middle of
modern Navy SEALs training. It
is a natural combination. They
are both fighting men. They are
both well-muscled. The Viking
men were reportedly handsome as
all the gods; I like to think
SEALs are, too. Loyal to
country and family. Great
lovers (I know this by
speculation only, <g>). And
we know the Vikings had a great
sense of humor, as evidenced by
their sagas. Please enjoy!
And let me know what you think.

Btw, one of my long ago ancestors
was a Viking...Hrolf, the first
duke of Normandy.

UGH

November 21 2005, 10:55 AM

I liked the blurb:

A very confused Viking finds himself hurtled through time to face the rigorous ordeals of the Navy SEALs. Yet while his brawn allows him to easily adapt to the military, he's no match for one of the most difficult challenges of all--the modern-day woman.

Okay sounded interesting but the first excerpt with this bit of dialogue:

On the other hand, Inga Sigundottir, young widow of a Norman jarl and daughter of the Danish King Svein Forkbeard, said, "Oooh, oooh! You are soooo good, Ragnor, but must you go so fast? I want this to last forever."

'Of course I am good. But fast, you greedy wench? Forever? Hah! I have been plowing the field betwixt your thighs for an hour at
least. Bloody well reach your peak already, m'lady.'

PUH-LEESE. Now I don't even want to read the rest. I am truly hoping this bit was for comic relief and the rest of the story is not as......corny.

Do I need to give it more of a chance??

I agree with Aynde,
That part was pretty corny and I died laughing...come on now...LOL I will continue reading the weeks excerpts though because I love time travel novels and want to see if this one gets better as we get more into the book ;) keeping fingers crossed that it does.

Funny, Sexy. Vikings!

Sandra Hill always manages to make me laugh with her Vikings. I have read all of them, at least twice. I hope this one is just as funny. I'll be heading out this weekend to pick up a copy.

I don't know what to think of this book. I think it's pretty ok. I thought the beginning was pretty interesting. If the book continues to be this funny I might just go and check it out from the library. So has anyone out there read it from cover to cover and what did they think? Is it worth finishing?

Wet-N-Wild

I thought the book was okay. What was up w/ the olde english though? That made the book kinda hard to digest plus I get confused; is he supposed to be the same guy in a different time zone or his "dead" brother in a different zone?

Love the viking stories

I just have to say I absolutely LOVE the viking series! Yes they're kind of cheesy but who cares? It's so fun to read about alpha guys like this. I hope Sandra keeps up this series. The series is also just so darn funny!
