So far I'm not feeling that much sisterhood with the characters in this novel, despite being a mum myself. I guess they're a little too young, a little too wealthy and a little too self-involved for me to feel I have much in common with them. All the same, I've enjoyed some of the poignant and sly insights. I do find the narrator a little grating; this might be another book better read than heard.
