An ex-con on the run from his own shattered past...a woman taken against her will...a young man consumed by rage...and a town on the edge of darkness. In White Falls, a horrifying truth is about to be uncovered that will unleash an ancient evil. Some secrets should remain buried...
I can't wait until the next chapter. I have really gotten into this book so far. The suspends to me about the prisoner is good. I have asked my library for a copy of this book so I can find out what will happen sooner.

Hi Cheryl--very glad to hear you're enjoying Bloodstone so far! At my website, natekenyon.com, in the fiction section, you'll find the prologue of the novel (not run in DearReader), and the letter that precedes chapter one. It will help clue you in to what's happening in chapter 2 and beyond.
Thanks, and I hope you enjoy the rest of the book.
June--it's interesting you say that. There's quite a mix of genres in Bloodstone, from horror to romance to suspense to mystery. In fact, some of my most loyal readers so far have been people who love romantic suspense. There's a very strong love story at the center of the novel that provides the spark for the shocking secret that is ultimately unveiled.
I'm not much for all out gore--most of my work is more subtle, atmospheric and character driven spookiness, if that makes sense.
Come visit me on my website at natekenyon.com, and feel free to drop me a line--I always enjoy hearing from readers.
I was one of the lucky people to win a copy of this book, and I have to say I'm excited. I'm a huge fan of horror novels, and I love finding a new author to try! I can't wait to see if the rest of the book is as intriguing as the small tastes I've gotten in my e-mail inbox.
Hi Melany--congratulations on the win! I sure hope you find the rest of Bloodstone to be worth your time. Please let me know what you think when you've finished it. Drop me a line on my website! http://www.natekenyon.com.
This is good old fashioned storytelling--tightly written, full of detail and the characters jump off the page like real people. Five Star knows a great tale when they see it. I wish you continued success with your books.
