..that this week's author seems to have "borrowed" a scene from Margaret Mitchell's beloved Gone with the Wind. Other than that the novel seems standard fare for a romance novel.

I can't answer to the "Gone with the Wind" reference, but I can say I'll be looking up this book the next time I'm in the library. Perhaps it's because this novel has many of the standard romance elements, rather than in spite of it -- two characters I already like and feel empathy toward and an interesting background story. This is one of just a few of the books I've previewed on this site that I really do want to finish.
