Stone Barrington is caught between a clever con man--who's just become his client--and a beautiful prosecutor in this stylish thriller in the bestselling series. "Two-Dollar Bill" delivers all the storytelling twists and whip-smart banter readers have come to love in Woods's thrillers.
Hello everyone,
This week book looks like a fast son of gun, goodly book. I have not read a book this fine for so long. Is Stuart Woods books like this for every book he has made? I can't wait to read more.
I like Stuart Woods books. The Last one I have read was "The Short Forever" and I really enjoyed Stone Barrington.I can't wait to read the next one.I will be getting this book soon because I can't wait to read this one.
Well, it looks like it's only going to be you, Sue Mont and myself, that going to read this week book.
Nancy and Marliyn, can you tell what Stuart Woods older books are like? What's makes he's older ones better then this new one?
Looks like Billy Bob really life up the hole thing about being from Texas. I got two family members that are lawyers, not that I will never need one. But, it's good to have one or two in the family. Wonder what Billy Bob is planing on doing, that makes him need a lawyer?
His older books don't have Stone Barrington. Some of his better books are: Heat, White Cargo and Chiefs. Chiefs was his first book and is very different from his other books. His Will Lee books are also good.
It would appear so ,Zoe. I liked the style and crave more. I am going to reserve the book at our library this weekend!I enjoy a novel more when you can flesh out the characters in your mind. And this one does so. I also usually read mystery books written by women, notably, Sue Grafton,( totally hooked) Joan Hess, and Jill Church. The two exceptions are holdovers from my mom's taste ,Dick Francis and Robert B. Parker. How about you?
Sue
I really like this character and I may join the select group who plan to read on. I have not previously read this author`s books, but may have to look them up. I could do that while volunteering at the library couldn`t I?
Well, I don't know if there is a two-dollar bill in Australia money, but I know there's a hundred-dollar bill. I never get to see one of them that much. My dad and me, both think if we ever have, we should put in a frame, so we can look at it. Of couse that's not a wise thing to do, but It's nice to know that you have a hundred-dollar bill. It's just money though. I just be happy to see photos of the family and friends hanging on the wall.
Well, that's ok with me. Just you and me reading this week book. I will not be reading next week book, because my town library doesn't have it and I'm not much of person that buys books. Once I have read them, then that's it. It have to be a year or so, before I can read it again. That's how good my memory is then it comes to knowing what the story is about.
Seeing, that there's no books that I will reading for next week, I'm going to finish this one. How about you? Do you want to email me or just leave your reply to my message here?
This one is different then the others mystery books we have read for this club. It's gets right into it. But still make great characters.
I have not read that much msytery books to say which authors that I like the best. I have read more fantasy books. I'm hooded onto Terry Goodkind, which I have all he's books.
It's great to talking with you, Sue. Hope to hear from you, soon.
