The Interruption of Everything
by Terry McMillan
Buy book: $23.35

Since Terry McMillan’s breakout novel Waiting to Exhale surged onto the bestseller lists, critics and reads alike have been captivated by her irreverent, often-hilarious take on the issues faced by contemporary women. With The Interruption of Everything she picks up, pitch-perfect, the dilemmas of midlife: an empty nest. Hormones gone wild. Too many irrelevant demands and too little room to breathe.

I listened to this book last year on CD. It was read by the author and a very enjoyable read. Listening to the author read her own story is truly a great way to hear their voice in their writing. A humorous and enjoyable read.

I read this book last year when it first hit the bookstores and I thought it was great. Always being an advid Terry McMillan reader I couldn't wait. It is written somewhat different than her other works I think but it is still a great read all the same.

I'm new to this forum and not exactly sure how I got into it, but I'm really enjoying this book. I love the humor and the reality of the feelings is something I can empathize with.

A very good read.

I am enjoying this book tremendously. I am having trouble finding it at our library though. I like the fast, almost breathless pace.I do hope I can find it so I can read the rest!

This book is quite delightful...I want to check it out of the library, but probably should just go out and buy it! It has me laughing and smiling a lot. That is good for me and anyone else in my book.
