I like the book thus far, and like the other readers, I have not heard of this author before. I am interested in what will happen in this novel and will consider it on my "To Read This Summer" list.

Hello Deanna and karol, and anyone else that is too shy to reply.

I too have not read any books by this author, but I'm alreadly getting the book from my town library.

This story is great. It's a nice change to read something different. All anyone in the world needs is a chance. I know that I need a chance to approve to the people that will take me on as an Apprenticeship Baker or Pastrycook. But all they do is take one look at me and thing that I will not be able to left the heavy bags or anything else that I need to left. Ok, so I'm not that srong in the arms but I can still left some heavy things and I'm a fast worker. I find ways to get things done faster for me to do. I can left 65LT bags of potting mix. On the bag it dose give a warning that two people should left the bag, but I don't need too. Now, I can left and move it to one place to other, so why dose the owers of the bakerys in my town think that I will be able to do the job?

It's because people don't like to give people chances. That's all we need is a chance!

i agree with zoe people should give people chances in life but i think there afraid too , they probly think we cant do anything or were to dumb, i just started a new job , and i dont answer the phones because im afraid too i think ill pick it up but then ill but someone on hold and they will get mad and hang up . or ill find other things to do in my job and enore the phone completely i feel that my self confidence is shot out the window . so i let the other emplioyees answer it . even though its part of my job.

Finally hooked

I have to say that I was not planning on reading the rest of this one until today's installment. Those last few pages have me clamoring to know what happens next. I think this one will be what goes on vacation with me in July!

surprised

I'd not planned to follow this offering, thinking its plot rather convoluted, but that a male writer has conveyed date rape...well, that surprises me and has me respecting someone who would represent it as he has done.

If anyone here would like to finish reading this book with some one, and to have some one you can share your thoughts with. Then feel free to email me or leave a message on this form and I will be happy to share my thoughts with you, too. You just have to let me know what chapter you are on and then tell me what you think. Then just read as much as you like, but keep letting me know on what chapter you are on and what you think about it.
