I just wanted to say I am honored that you selected my book as the read for the week! This is so exciting! I'll be popping into the message boards this week if anyone has any questions for me.

Thanks again for the honor! Libraries rock!

she's just like me

June 6 2006, 1:41 AM

It's really easy for me to relate to Natalie in this book. She is really just like me even though I'm a guy I've got to confess sometimes I do feel out of the loop because all my are dating and I'm not allowed (I'm 14!)and all the girls literally consider me just a friend and other times it seems like no one talks to unless they need something; it's exasperating but after a while you just give up trying to stay inthe loop and just go with the flow.

ur not allowed to date either?how old do you have to be?im not allowed to till im 18 and you know what, im basically going out with this guy and my parents know and they havent said anything at all.so sometime i wonder if parents actually take that rule completely seriously 'cus sum of my frends have done the same thing and their parents just got used to it.

I know how THAT feels. I'm 15 and I still haven't gotten out of that type of situation. Don't worry we'll get out of this alive... unless it totally destroys our lives by swallowing us whole and taking i'ts sweet time to torture us b/c It's getting it's revenge for who knows what.

*I'm trembling in a dark corner for fear over here*

Well, gotta go. Parents calling. I REALLY want to read this book, in fact I'm gonna get it right now *I'm at the library*

Now I REALLY have to go.

Bye.

This book is awesome. I didn't know that this was part of a series. What are the names of the other books, in order if you don't mind?

Other books in the series

June 7 2006, 3:57 PM

I'm so glad you guys are enjoying the book! I had fun writing about a runner, even though I'm not one myself (though I did suffer mightly in Geometry...) My husband is a runner and he ran in the Olympic trials when he was in college.

Michele- here is a list of the books in the series, in order from first to last:
PUTTING BOYS ON THE LEDGE
STUDYING BOYS
WHO NEEDS BOYS?
SMART BOYS & FAST GIRLS

Please let me know if you guys have any other questions!

Stephie

I can relate too

June 6 2006, 6:31 PM

I can relate to Natalie too. I can run and all my friends all are not exactly slower than I am but they're all joggers and I like to sprint. I keep up with the faster kids and I've gotten faster while last year and seem to be accepted. I was one of those thirteen minute milers. Though I never flunked anything. Yikes! that would be scary.
