Murder cuts close to home in this powerful new tale of suspense from "a gifted creator" ("Boston Globe")--one of the best and most original talents writing today.
I'm lucky this week in that I have already gotten the 3 books in my book clubs - mystery, fiction, and non-fiction - have started first on this mystery - which is part of a series with Alan Banks and Annie - some of you have probably read some or all of the series - seems I have read at least one but not nearly all - am finding it easy and interesting reading - I am somewhat put off when reading English mysteries by their use of unfamiliar words and places but not enough to keep me from understanding the gist of the mystery -
Anyone else reading or have read any of this series? -
This is the first Inspector Banks mystery I have read, but I am thoroughly enjoying it and plan to check it out of my library as well as some of the previous books in the series. This sort of reminds me of Inspector Lindlay and his assistant, Detective Havers. What do you think?
Well, this one seems more interesting then the last book I'm reading from the book club. It's "Therapy" by Jonathan Kellerman. I know that I can stop reading it anytime I like, but I don't like doing that, undertill it stops being interesting. I'm still like to know what happens. It just not moving along like this one. I think that's because I'm only have the time to read two chapters a day. I have to hurry up and finish it so I can work on this one. Anyways, I can wait to read more of this one. It's going to be a great read.
I've just join the club and am really happy to find a book club to join. I agree with you Doris about some of the language and places that I don't know. One in particular is lychets. I don't have a clue. I've never read this author, I'm enjoying it so far. I to like that it jumped right in. Thanks Cindy
