This book is a great read. If you haven't yet read it, you should check it out this week through the book club and then put it on reserve at the library or purchase a copy. As usual, Angela Hunt finds a topic that's refreshingly off the beaten path. Her style and research will keep you captivated! ~Judy
Angela Hunt is probably my favorite author. I've only read a few of her books (nothing compared to all she's written), but I love the way she writes about topics that I've never heard of for the most part-- controversial, maybe. They're very thought-provoking. The first book I read of hers was The Immortal, reccommended by a friend, and I loved it! Later I read her series about Joseph (I love historical fiction), and he is now one of my favorite Bible characters. I've been wanting to read Unspoken--I'd looked at it before and thought it looked good--but never got around to it yet, so I'm very happy that's the book of this week!
If you like historicals, another good read by this author is "Shadow Women". A truly wonderful book, that I think you'd enjoy, too. And next week's choice "River Rising" is absolutely superb. It won the Christy Award and is Athol Dickson's finest book yet--and that's saying a lot. He's a terrific author.
