That Fernhill Summer by Colby Rodowsky Buy book: $9.91
Told from the point of view of a teenager with spot-on observations and hilarious insights, this is the story of three generations of stubborn--and charmingly funny--women.

I was curious, so I went onto Amazon and looked at this book. It looks like it is going to be a fun read. I can't wait until Monday!! Hopefully this book will be better than last week's book. |

So far, I think that this book is pretty good. It sounds as though it might have some suspense, even if only a little, and I like that. Even if it doesn't have any suspense, I thought that today's read was enjoyable, and I hope that the rest are, too. |

How validating! Every time I think my family is crazy (and I'm sure there are two people who will agree,... ahem!) it's nice to read about families that are CRAZIER, although they usually seem to live in the south. Crazy people in Baltimore, eh? I'll have to add it to my list of cities to visit. <grin> |

The story seems a little kooky so far, but I like it. The writing style reminds me of my own style -- just way better, lol. I thought last week's book was okay, but this one is much better. I might actually check it out from the library... |

Anyone else? |

You know I'm definately going to have to relate to Bumble. My family is fairly strange, especially my mom. Stubborn, stubborn, stubborn. Maybe that's where I get it. |

I have to agree with Bumble (love the name by the way) and Georgia. Families are crazy, and this is a great illustration of that. I like this one. |

Okay. You hooked me. I'm heading out to find and finish the book. It's not the BEST book I've ever started, and it seems rather predictable. Nevertheless, it's an easy read and I'm a little intrigued. |
