The Real Mother by Judith Michael Buy book: $16.20
Judith Michael is beloved around the world for powerful stories of love and family. Now this renowned author returns with a richly emotional tale of the many kinds of love and the collision of good and evil that threatens to tear a family apart.
I think the filthy language serves to illustrate how disgusting the man who emits it is. I would suggest not letting it get to you, as I'm sure this character is not one that has a lasting effect on the story. I'd hate to think that you would stop reading a book because a very minor character said something to offend you. I like the overall theme of the story, and I'm sure you would too if you stopped to think about it.
If only my kids were that adult about their topics. Is this author grounded in the real world? What 10 year old would says that cuss words are what a 15 year old would use if the person wanted to be accepted by their peers. And I can't relate to the main character's job. Do big city's actually have official greeters who'se job it is to find an apartment, maid, chef, drivers, etc for someone staying in the city of a short time? I would think that person's personal manager and their assistant would do all that - not the city. I won't be putting this book on my reading list.
