High School Bites by Liza Conrad Buy book: $8.99
Lucy Hellenberg is not your typical Pacific Cedar High student. Because in between hanging out with her friends, hating her hair and her math teacher, and trying to decide whether she should dump her on-again off-again boyfriend, she has to deal with a father who refuses to go outside and a house that bears way too much resemblance to the set of The Munsters.

I've been so lazy this summer, that (gasp) I haven't read, like, any of the excerpts from the bookclub... even the ones that sound good. But, I'll probably start reading them more now that summer's starting to end.
This book sounds good to me. Just a regular teen fiction book that's fun to read.
I can't wait! |

This book looks like a fun summer read! It sounds like an enjoyable teen book that I can relate to (not the vampire stuff though)! For instance, I'm a good student, and teachers like me, but there was this one teacher who hated all her students (not me inparticular). She was horrible and boring! Everybody in class hated her! Somehow I Aced all her classes. |

The first excerpt sounds like your typical easy fluff for teens, he did, she did, and the girl ends up with the boy she fights with. But...it could always take a turn to who knows where. Oh, the title includes "...The Lucy Chronicles." Will there be more?
The author, Liza Conrad, is a pseudonym of Erica Orloff who wrote "Mafia Chic." |

Absolutely! I'm already into it, and I can't wait until tomorrow! Today's read seemed so short, probably because I enjoyed it so much! |

This book seems good so far. It's interesting
and has a good theme. Except for the vampires, everyone and everything can relate to real life. I might finish the book and maybe even buy it.

I'm just on the first chapter and already something horrible has happened like the destruction of the homecoming dance. These are the kind of books i end up buying and finishing. |

I really like it so far. It's pretty predictable though. I gussed all about the dad and mom while I was reading. |

Hi!!! Sorry I haven't written. I LOVE this book so far. So what if it's predictable? There may be a twist! They don't have it at our library, so I'll have to check at the bookstore.

You're right. I like it. I can just guss alot about the story. Maby there is a twist. It started to get creepy today. The face, the scratching.....that could give you nightmares! I love a scary storie though! |
