Journeying to wintry Montreal to testify at a murder trial, forensic anthropologist Tempe Brennan discovers three skeletons in the basement of a pizza parlor and realizes that she has stumbled into a crime from the past.
This is not my favorite Temperence Brennan novel but, I really like this series and this was the first book that I bought. The mysteries are normally interesting and Tempe is a well developed character. Reichs does know what she is writing about being a forensic anthropologist and it shows. Although I do get annoyed by the constant use of french without translations for those of us who have never studied french. But, it is not enough to keep me from reading. Glad I finally saw a book from this series on the book club.
Thanks for presenting a book that at least has a Canadian location. Mysteries are my favourite reading material and I have noted that most of the libraries have almost no Canadian Authors particularly in paper backs. The majority are from the USA with Britain second. I don't imagine there is another country in the world that does this
I've enjoyed this weeks read about Temperance and Quebec! It's ann interesting setting for a change. Rhis series is now on my list of "to read". I've liked Patricia. Cornwall and this seems to be in the same vein so I'll try it.
