47 Rules of Highly Effective Bank Robbers
by Troy Cook
Buy book: $9.71

What if your father raised you to be a bank robber? Instead of Barbie & Ken, you played with Smith & Wesson? And now you're twenty-two and ready to flee the nest, but your homicidal pop won't let you go? Thats the simple part of Tara's life. When she and her dad score their biggest heist ever, Tara's life of adventure takes a frightening turn. They're pursued by a couple of dangerous ex-partners and a special task force of federal agents. That's when Tara falls for the son of the local sheriff. Like her daddy says, "It's always something."

This one just sounds too surreal. I may have to read it out of morbid curiosity...

Bank Robbers -

I know after just the one read, is a little soon to form an opinion, but it sounds to me like a comedic play at this point - don't think this will be my choice for a mystery - tho' on the other hand, may be a relief from last week's "Dark Eye" - which was much too ghoulish for me - (from one end of the spectrum to the other) -

That's what is so good about the book club - we get to pick or delete - Thanks, Suzanne -

I agree with Abigail. This excerpt is fascinating in a train wreck sort of way...

I didn't get to read much of dark eye but i put it on my list. Occasionally I have a craving for something twisted and this one sounded pretty good. I grew up on stephen king gimme a break :)

I am alternately repulsed and fascinated by these selections(sort of how I feel when I watch the 10 o'clock news). I am hooked, however, by a need to know how the escalating violence ends and how, or if, Tara cleans up her life. I will put this one on hold at the library today!
