In Connelly's latest #1 "New York Times" bestseller, Harry Bosch returns to join the LAPD's new Open/Unsolved Unit and catches the case of a teenager killed more than 20 years ago. But Harry is soon navigating through a department far different from the one he left three years ago.

 

This looks like a good one. It will be interesting to see how Harry does with walking the straight and narrow of the "new LAPD" regime. I know he can't do it, but it will be fun to see how he gets around it.

I have not read any one of this series before - but now have it waiting for me at the library - they have several in the series - read an excerpt on my library website - sounds like an interesting character -
I also just discovered a new "British cozy" author and series - M.C. Beaton with a middle aged female protagonist, Agatha Raisin -

I just received this book from my sister and it so happened that it is a book for this weeks book club. Now I don't have to wait and get it. I can ust dive right into to it. It sounds like another good read.I just hope Harry can pull this off.

I can hardly wait to run out and purchase this intriquing mystery book. Harry is going to have a challenge it seems with the distinction between his old department and his new department. The politics and his personal responsibility he feels for all the unsolved cold cases will be his worst demon.
