When a meteor hits the moon, Miranda must learn to survive the unimaginable. Told in journal entries, this is the heart-pounding story of Miranda's struggle to hold on to the most important resource of all--hope--in an increasingly desperate and unfamiliar world.

My First Day Review

February 26 2007, 4:37 PM

It seems rather interesting. The author wastes no time in getting the reader's attention with an announcement of a baby and Miranda being the godmother of the baby. I will continue reading it to see how the events begin to unfold.

Second Day Review

February 27 2007, 4:39 PM

Seems that Miranda is having conflicts with her friends and perhaps her mother. She really shouldn't be jealous because that'll lead her no where and make her even more upset. Of course I can see where she gets a little irritated about her friend's spirtual obssesion. People sometime are too religous. Though, I learned from a perspective that people are who they are. It'll be interesting to see how the events unravel in the next few parts of the book.

Third Day Review

Impressive how a few small events built up to the summary of the book. I'm glad to see that Miranda participates in sports. Her mom seemed a bit on edge at first about her doing skating lessons, but allowed it anyways. Although it'll be interesting to see what this moon thing is like and how all the weather goes in total chaos. I have a strong feeling that Megan may think the eclipse might have something to do with kismet (fate). I can't wait until tomorrows reading.

Wish I had bought this one

Like many books that come down the line and stare at me from the pages of a catalog or book review, I passed this one over when I had the chance to order it for my library back in October. (It peeked my interest, but would it peek the interest of the young adults who visit here?) Guess I'm glad for these e-mails, so I get a chance to really look beyond the cover art and into the heart of the story. Thanks.

Fourth Day Review

This book is really starting to sound interesting. Interesting because it is very rare that three teachers in three seperate subject areas would assign the same topic. Tomorrow should be rather interesting. Heh, who knows what might happen? Authors, like myself, yes I'm a future author, like suspense to build up. I think they'll be suspense built up now for Matt's return home from college. Also, the suspense for the moon seems rather invigorating. I can't wait until tomorrow's read! I'll go request a copy now from my local library.

Fifth Day Review

It was sad to see the reading cut off like that at the end. I guess it is a good way to have 'cliffhanger.' Through these readings the book should be very interesting to finish. I reserved my copy yesterday at my local library. I can't wait to finish it!
