After Midnight
by Richard Laymon
Buy book: $7.19

Alice has quite a story to tell you. That’s not her real name, of course. She couldn’t give her real name, not after all the things she reveals about herself in this book. All of her…adventures. And all that killing. She wouldn’t want the police to find her, now would she?

I love this author. I have read several of his books and none were disappointing. I am enjoying this novel and will definitely be reading this one!!!

I love Richard Laymons books, I just usually can not put them down. I am going to get this one because I can not wait to find out what happens! I really enjoyed his books "In the Dark" and "The Traveling Vampire Show".

First & Last

March 29 2007, 9:28 AM

This is my first & last attempt at an R. Laymon book, an experience which gave new meaning to the word "tedious". (And what's up with those rampant quotation marks? Now that's scary!) I'd rather read a legal brief in Sanskrit. Thanks for the opportunity to vent, but what are the chances this will pass the moderator test?

I love his books! Richard Laymon is very good at giving you the creeps late at night because you just can't put down his books until they are finished! Now I am thinking I still have to go outside and take the trash out..LOL Oh boy! Maybe it can wait..LOL

This is the first time I have read anything from this author, but I love the suspense that is building just from the excerpts I am reading daily. I am going to get this book because I have to finish it and find out what will happen. I am anxious to discover what may be lurking in the dark.

I've read one other book by this author and enjoyed it. But if she doesn't walk out that door by tommorrow I just don't think I'll be able to finish this one. I want to get to the stranger.

I've read Richard Laymon before and oh my what a wide ride that book was - it moved very quickly and had many twists and turns. Although the writing here is totally different and is starting out at a much slower pace I know that it's going to be great. Now to call my local bookstore and see if it's in stock.

Good

April 19 2007, 9:40 AM

I just finished reading the book and I must say it was good. At times, I couldn't put the book down and kept reading way past my bedtime. However, this book was a bit slow at times compared to his other books.

A good read!!!!
