I was hooked the first day. I can hardly wait to find out what happened. I'll either buy the book or check it out of the library. I hope the whole book is as riveting as the first page.

Not too much to go on yet in the first read - but does remind me of my thoughts the other day about tatoos - remember the days when it was a taboo thing for respectable people - sailors were the exception - but was mulling over that fact after watching that tatoo show on tlc I think - it was interesting, the people getting the tatoos and various reasons for doing so - and the tatoo artists themselves - all their different personalities -
Still don't want a tatoo myself but opened my mind a bit - guess my mind is not cast in cement yet - (but don't want my gr.dtr. to get one either) -

GR-R-R-R-R -

June 13 2007, 6:17 PM

Okay, guess I'm just as cross as an old bear who has just been disturbed from his winter hibernation - but after the third read, we don't know anymore than we did from the book jacket at beginning - slow going on this one - don't know if I will stay the course - the pace has got to pick up to keep me going - of course, if I had the book in hand, would have already perused more to get to the place we started - Just call me Grizzly -

I agree. This book is too slow for me. I'm skimming bits and I like to give openings the benefit of the doubt. This book might have potential but I'll never find it.

everything okay?

Let me start off by saying, I agree. This book really had my interest from the book jacket but by day 3 it was gone. But what has disturbed me even more was Doris's posts. Your posts weren't disturbing really, it just seems out of character. I usually really enjoy reading your posts whether or not you like the book. This week seems to have been especially brutal. Hope everthing is well with you.

I agree with some of the comments posted about this one it did start out a little slow. But I think it is coming along. I'm curious enough to try and get the book from my local library and finish. I would love to know how this one ends.

Great Book Give it a Chance

June 28 2007, 8:17 PM

I got this book from my local library and finished reading a couple of days ago. It did start out kinda slow but it had a suprising ending. I also checked the previous book written by Ms. Clemens. I am going to start it tonight. I really liked the book and like most of the readers comments I like the story line to pick up pretty quickly. But I recommened giving this book a chance.
