Samuel Howard, Olivia's friend and the town manager, seems to think everything is fine, but Olivia observes something quite different. Could it be that Olivia is not the only one harboring secrets?

There are so many fascinating turns this book could take. The introduction says she is good friends with the mayor. Would he help her? Is the lady of the house turning a deaf ear to the chef's rambling ways or was he just lying? This first segment had me smiling from ear to ear when I finished reading it. When I saw that it was set in London, I thought it would be dry and boring. The exact opposite was true. I'm excited about reading the next segment. Unfortunately, it is Sunday night, and I'll have to wait until Tuesday to read the next part. Patience, patience my dear Watson!
