Good Book

I have read almost all the books by this author. I love the fantasy world she has created. Her books are fun to read. Plus, who could be mad when all the men in this world look as they do. That's why we read, because real life is so not like that. Fun, enjoyable book.

Tough One!

That Prologue was heck to wade thru. Too many words/names that I had to stumble over and had no clue how to pronounce.

You are supposed to "grab" the reader with the beginning. This beginning almost turned me away.

Now that it is in "modern day" it is a much easier read. I will give it another day.

Romance or Fantasy?

August 14 2007, 3:22 PM

I know, the question is rhetorical, since romance is in reality, fantasy....
Anyway, I agree that the prologue was difficult. I'm not too sure I am all that sympathetic with Jessi, either. She starts out rather crude. But I like her sense of adventure when she dreams of traveling in distant lands. I'll give it another day, too.

A little confused

August 15 2007, 10:26 AM

I just finished reading the first 3 excerpts and I am confused. There is so much going on and names and places are being thrown here and there it's confusing.

It will stick it out till the end of the week, hoping it will start to come together.

Not to Sure

I agree strongly with Ann that the prologue was difficult to get through. I am one that if I can't get into the book in the first chapter, I usually put it down.

I'll wait til the end of the week and see how it goes.

I have all of her books. This is the best on so far. I found it to be captivating, with a really strong and interesting plot.

Questioning

I am still a little unsure about this one. I got very confused today that I kinda just skimmed through it til the end. I must say though they did end it at a capitivating part.
