I'm surprised no one commented about this book. It has a very interesting plot and I will reserve it from our library. I checked with Amazon and those who read the book gave it an average of 4 out of 5 stars. That's good.
Couldn't put it down, but disappointed with storyline

I really enjoyed Robertson's writing style and irreverent humor. I stayed up quite late to finish the book, I had to know how it ends before I could sleep. In that respect, I suppose it is a good book. However, I was quite disappointed with where the story went overall. I don't want to spoil it for anyone else, but once you've read it, let me know what you think.
I just finished reading The Heir. Totally unexpected twists and turns to the plot, but the villian turned out to be who I thought it was. Not sure why this was in the GoodNews/Christian category.
Anyone else out there who couldn't figure out younger brother, Eric? Was he a very young 25 or mentally deficient? Maybe it was just the writing that made him seemed exceptionally immature...
There were no absolute "good guys" or "bad guys" with any of the characters. I suppose that's true with any book character. It just seemed more noticable to me in this story.
Anyway, I hope this author writes another book. I'll read it!
