Poor Mr. Beecher, he will probably continue to take a back seat to his sister forever.

I've read this book!

I actually already read this book about one month ago. I'm not typically a bio reader or interested in historical books, but I couldn't put this down. I live in Indiana, so some of the locations that this took place are very familiar to me. It was an interesting bio of a man who appeared to have views not based on his heart or beliefs of his own, but on what appeared to be best suited to the situation. However, he was a very interesting character and the movements during this time period were interesting as well. I really enjoyed the book and would recommend highly.

Beecher was an amazing man

I found this book to be well written. I have to buy it. I knew about Harriet Beecher Stowe, but this book was an eye opener about a very brave and sometime infamous man. It's written so fluidly, it is difficult to put down.
