Tab Hunter Confidential
by Tab Hunter and Eddie Muller
Buy book: $16.95

“Tab Hunter Confidential” is at heart a story of survival— of the giddy highs of stardom, and the soul-destroying lows when phone calls begin to go unreturned; of the need to be loved, and the fear of being consumed; of the hope of an innocent boy, and the rueful summation of a man who did it all, and who lived to tell it all.

Tab Hunter

I well remember Tab Hunter who was definitely a "Heart Throb" for a lot of romantic, stars in their eyes, teens and young adults like me. And that was before I even knew what gay or homosexual was! I have often wondered how those handsone men managed to keep a career in Hollywood on track being gay! I think I will read this the rest of the way through. I have always enjoyed biography anyway.

Valuable story

I am very grateful for this selection, as well as for the honesty of the authors: to more fully comprehend exploitation one needs to hear from those who lived through it. Fabulous choice, Suzanne, and one I'd never have given a second glance, were it not for these daily glimpses into the text.

Interesting

I am not a fan of "movie star" biographies, but find myself both interested and sympathetic to this man's story. I would like to finish the book

An interesting childhood

November 4 2007, 3:38 PM

Being an immigrant myself, it is always interesting for me to learn about the beginning's of others in America especially about their childhood experiences. I too had an aunt like aunt Lottie in the book. At age two, while traveling with her in Germany in 1942, we needed to stay at a hotel. As children were not allowed inside the hotel, she made me hide inside her suitcase and so smuggled me to her room. She was the nutty one of the relatives but always brought laughter whenever she came to visit. I'm looking forward to reading the remainder of the book.
