The Good Sister
by Karen Crane
Buy book: $5.39

If Mattie Owens had been the one to get in her car one January morning and drive away from an adoring husband, a beautiful home, a new baby, and a future bright with promise, no one would have been surprised and no one would have called the police. But it's Mattie's sister, Meredith, who does these things. Meredith, the good sister. The perfect wife and mother. The one who always does everything right. It's Meredith who disappears, leaving rebellious, wild child Mattie to pick up the pieces.

Mattie

This book is fascinating. I hope it is a good read and has an uplifting ending. It's such downer to read an entire book then find out that the ending is horrible. This leaves one with the feeling, "Why did I waste my time in reading this!" I sure hope this one doesn't disappoint. It sounds like it gives the author plenty of room to expand on this character (Mattie). I'm keeping my fingers crossed. LOL

Predictible?

Let me see if I can guess what is going to happen in this book?

The Brother-in-Law is cold towards Mattie because, secretely, he is in love with her and not his wife. Meredith ran away because she really doesn't love her husband and she has always wished she could be just like Mattie.

The Mother really loves Mattie but kept her distance because Mattie is exactly like the husband that left her. She doesn't want to get too close and then have her heart broken by Mattie too.

I will be curious to see if these predictions come true. If so, then this book is way too cliche.

You're wrong on all points. Sorry it is much more in depth than that. The book is good, it is just unfinished.

After the first few emails I was pumped to read this book. Well written, very intriguing plot. I really liked the characters....etc. I went out yesterday and bought the book and spent the entirety of my day reading it. I spent most of the time wondering when a romance was going to spur. Then when something started I was like.. ooooo... It was worth the wait for the heroin to find her own. I was just severely upset at the way the book ended. It seemed completely unfinished, like only half the book was there. It was a disapointment to say the least....there wasn't even a forward, or prologue, or anything. I was expecting more, much more. So many loose ends. -.-
