Carrie Fitzgerald is the luckiest girl: She is the only sophomore on the varsity basketball team, she always has the lead in the school play, and she has the cutest boyfriend in school. Carrie Fitzgerald is also the most superstitious girl: She attributes all of her good luck to a Moroccan T-shirt that her father sent her from one of his distant jaunts around the world. When her mother accidentally donates Carrie's lucky T to Help India and her good luck starts running out, Carrie does what any logical girl would do -- she travels halfway around the world to get it back. But as she scours a foreign land for her luck, she finds a lot more than she ever expected. She's going to need more than luck to find her way back home again.
So far I think it sounds really good: like a classic teen book with a twist. My freind read this book before and she liked it so I'm excited to read it. I just hope it sort of breaks away from the classic preppy teen book and becomes more interesting. This book could easily become one of those books. If I have to read "OMG! She, like, totally took my boy friend!" again I think I might puke.
Preppy?I am preppy,so please don't say that we make you puke.I am so glad,we are reading this book,it's really good so far,and I think i really need to learn how luck I truly am,because sometimes I forget.
I really love this story. I have the book and read it last year. For those of you reading it for the fist time I have to say it's a treat. It's a great book about friendship, love, romance, and how lucky we really are.
I like it so far. it sounds like a really cute book! i don't understand where it said "Thus
she had worn her current outfit of batik-print skirt, huge purple
sweater, and beaded necklace every day since she had welcomed Carrie
into existence." How can you wear the same clothes for that long?
