Holly is in her fifth foster home in two years and she's had enough. She's run away before and always been caught quickly. But she's older and wiser now--she's twelve--and this time she gets away clean.
I was expecting that this book would be another one of those "classic teen decides to run away" kind of book, but I am truly enjoying it. I like how the author delves into her mind and makes the reader feel what she is feeling and sympathize with her, but at the same time hoping she can pull out of it by herself.
I JUST read this book in my email! How late am i?? Gina i like your word "holy cracker monkey" i should use that some time:) i went on Chapters website and sadly it said Runaway wont be out till March 11 2008 :(. I guess cause this is in Canada and the book was published in USA? Well the book was the bomb! :P

I've only read a book like this once I think. I think the world needs more of them though because what the character says and writes is so easy to connect with. I can see myself speaking her words. Sometimes it really does feel like adults don't listen to kids, teens and young adults. I would love for all the "Adults" in the world to read this book.
