It would be difficult for the business to win a customer loyalty. I'm guilty about this because I go for the sale. For instance, if Ralph's or Vons market sends me a discount coupon, I'll shop there instead of going to Albertson's where I normally shop. It will be different when it comes to clothes & cosmetics. Of course, I keep my favorite brand but I still keep my eyes open for something new.
