I read this book last year and loved it. I am now about to start the next book called Silent In The Sanctuary.

Hi - I loved the first book, but don't like the torturous relationship between Julia & Brisbain. Does it continue in the next book? If it doesn't move along, I don't think I can bear to read another book - even though I enjoyed the rest. Thanks for letting me know...

Already this book seems to be interesting.To me it is kinda like something that happened way back then. I'm only on the first chapter and reading 6 diffeerent mystery books of my own so I hope to God that it isn't as long as a book called ABOVE SUSPISCION BY LYNDA LA PLANTE. MY god that bok is a long one! But i really love this one can't wait to read more about it and the sequels-whatever they may be.

I just finished reading that this is the author's first book. Wow! A pretty good start, hope this one delivers.

Can't decide if she loved him or hated him - am sure will be revealed later - interesting all the strict proprieties of the time - seems so restrictive now - but of course we still each have our own rules to follow which can sometimes be comforting at those tragic times -

Did she love him? Hmmm, Did he love her is more the question! I'm intrigued by the seeming disparity between her affection for him and his apparent lack of trusting her with his fortune -- until his death! I wonder how the heir to the castle, but not the fortune, feels about this? I wonder who the dark man is? Why is he lurking about?

I will definitely finish the book.

I had heard about this author and so had reserved this book at the library. Unfortunately--or the author might say fortunately--I was placed on hold because there were so many people reading her book. I just picked up my copy from the library so it was great to read few pages in advance. Thanks.
