Sounds to be perhaps another interesting mystery series with the protaganist Maisie Dobbs - this being her fourth of eight at my ibrary - just finished Louise Penny's "Still Life" which I did enjoy and plan to read more of her -

I have read the first two Maisie Dobbs novels and enjoyed them immensely. I think that you will too. If you don't know a lot about World War I, as I didn't, you will like the insight that Maisie gives you. I too have read Louise Penny's Still Life and have her other books on my must read list. I really enjoy her character Inspector Gamache as well as the other characters who reappear in her mysteries. They are very colorful folks, I think.
