Dear Lauraine, I'm glad you are joining us. I must tell you, I loved "The Healing Quilt". I hope this proves just as good. Wendy

Glad you liked Healing Quilt. One of my favorites, as is Breaking Free. Getting to visit an actual prison that has a retired Thoroughbred facility was the highlight. Getting to New York state to do so was pure pleasure.

I found a young man there who's story paralled Maggie's in many ways.

Happy Reading.

I hope you do read it and absolutely enjoy it. Everyone in the story is breaking free and I hope readers experience the same thing.

Break the bonds and live free.

Plus I dearly love the horse. And had a ball with the research.

blessings,

Lauraine

Dear Lauraine, I am really enjoying this book. As both a Christian and a nurse I am feeling the pain of these broken people and animals and sensing the coming mutual healing that their interaction often seems to have the ability to inspire. Somehow I am already finding it very soothing to my own unsettled circumstances as I read. You sound like you have a lot of experience working with horses. Is that so?

The healing that can go on between humans and animals, horses and dogs especially, but many animals, is truly amazing. Writing this book gave me more insight into what wonderful things can happen and I look forward to writing more on this topic.

You'll find animals in most of my books, I think all, actually. And birds, and flowers and gardens, ah the beauty all around us.

Both my mom and my sis are/were nurses. You bring every talent you have and then some into caring for your patients. Good nurses are one of God's great gifts.

thank you for responding. Happy reading.

hugs and blessings,

Lauraine

I am enjoying this book and I plan on finishing the book. What made you write about a woman in prison? I am interested to find out why Maggie was in prison.
