Once Smitten, Twice Shy by Lori Wilde ISBN: 9780446618465
Legend claims an antique Irish wedding veil can grant a hearts deepest desire. In this second novel, wedding videographer Tish Gallagher makes a wish on the lucky wedding veil to get out of debt--and sees the man she never stopped loving, her ex-husband, secret service agent Shane Tremont.

Hello readers! Welcome to the preview of my book, Once Smitten, Twice Shy. I hope you enjoy reading it each day and look forward to any comments or questions you may have--Lori Wilde
ONCE SMITTEN, TWICE SHY is the second book in the Wedding Veil Wishes series. The first book came out in March 2007. The third book ADDICTED TO LOVE is out in October. The final book ALL OF ME is scheduled for April 2009. The heroines are connected through a wishfulfilling wedding veil but you don't have to read the books in order.
HI Lori, it looks like you have a great book on your hands. After just the first email I'm hooked and want to find out what happenes. I'm looking forward to finding out what happenes next. ~Elizabeth
I'll admit the first excerpt didn't do much for me. The story felt like another formula with new names.
The backhoe accident has completely changed my mind. Usually when I read these excerpts, my mind is half here, half there, if you know what I mean. When I came to that scene, I was all in that book.
If this is an example of what I can expect from the rest of the book, this will be a definite read for me. I like when characters and stories surprise me.
Lori, I am really enjoying this book. I love romance novels and this one grabbed me right away. Can't wait to see how this works out. I'll be looking for your first novel that started the wedding veil series. Thanks.
Thanks so much for your kind words, Judy. I just got the advanced reading copies of ADDICTED TO LOVE. It gets exciting at this point. For a chance to win a copy of the ADDICTED TO LOVE ARC join my VIP lounge on through my website www.loriwilde.com. This weekend I'll draw from the names of the people in the VIP lounge. But that's not all. I give away books and prizes always every week. I'm going to the RWA conference in San Francisco and I always bring home 50-100 free books. I don't keep them for myself. I give them away to readers in the VIP lounge.
I get my daily reads sent to my computer at work and usually enjoy them over lunch at my desk. I know I am hooked when I race to work and the first e-mail I open is my daily read. That is what I did this morning! I'm hooked and can't wait for tomorrow's read. What am I going to do on Saturday? Horrors!
Me either, thank heavens. I don't reveal until later in the book why Tish is behaving the way she is. Some readers have suggested I should have revealed it sooner so they could sympathize with Tish more. As a writer its hard to know how much to reveal and how much to hold back. I'd be interested to hear what you think.
Also, you're welcome to join the VIP lounge as well. See my post to Judy.
