Nouf

July 21 2008, 1:59 AM

I just read the first part of chapter one of Nouf. So far, I think I'm really going to be interested in reading this book. I am fascinated by the middleast. I'm hoping that this book will give me a flavor for what life is like in Saudi Arabia. I wonder how accurate the book is. Is the author from the region?

I love the way this author puts you into the story. The story has a lot of mystery surrounding Nouf. I can't wait to read how this will unravel!

Saudi

I was hooked right in from the beginning of this story. I love reading books with exotic settings. Saudi is definitely an area that intrigues me - particularly the Bedouin life style. I plan to stick with this one for sure.

Week's review of Finding Nouf

July 25 2008, 7:54 AM

This is my first review of a novel, and I must say that this has my interest peaked. The main character seems to struggle with keeping true to his faith in today's society, which is true for members of many religions. Also, I am very curious to find out what really happened to the young girl in the story. Nayir seems to feel embarrased by his curiosity, yet compelled to find out the truth of what happened. This is one book I would love to read all the way to the finish, taking my time to enjoy every part.

Captivating

I enjoyed reading this novel from the first day. I liked the character development. It felt true to the region. I also liked that a search for the truth was to take place. I am on vacation, and I purchased the book to take along with me. I am looking forward to reading what appears to be a well-written novel and also a timely story about locales often in the news today.

I'm Hooked

I enjoyed the e-mail reads, but I might not have picked up this book, just too long of a "to Read List".

But my library had a copy that caught my eye Friday when I visited, so I checked it out.

I am so glad that I did! This book just keeps getting better. I am really enjoying getting to know the characters and exploring the mystery.
