Days and Hours by Susan Meissner ISBN: 9780736919166
When a missing baby disappears again three months after being found, police sergeant Will Pendleton believes the mother killed the child. But attorney Rachael Flynn isn't sure. When the infant is found alive and alone, questions abound. Who would steal a baby only to abandon it? And will they do it again?
Welcome to the preview of my book, Days & Hours. I hope you enjoy reading it each day and look forward to any comments or questions you may have. -- Susan Meissner
Okay, so there is a bit of tugging on the seat of the emotions, but I like a story that offers hope. So there will be that, too. The bond between mother and child is one of the strongest there is, even if the mother does not understand it. . .

Just the first day's read has me wanting more. The description of leaving this foster parent's house is so beautifully sad. I hope you don't make me cry too much with this book, Susan :)
A bit confused right now but am getting this from my library - many other books by this author there as well - after going back and reading the book jacket from yesterday's read realize they were talking about today's Marcie and the abandoned baby - don't know how or if it will play into yesterday's read about the three year old going back to her mother - will have to read and see, I suppose -
Hi, Doris: The bit in the beginning about the three-year-old girl is a prologue, so it's a wee bit separated from the rest of the story - at least for the time being. A good prologue explains itself later in the book. I hope you will find that will happen for you! :) I am excited now to see what you think at the end of the book when the prologue fits into the puzzle!
And looking forward to the reading of it - oh, the sadness of Marcie and her three little ones and her personal addiction - each drinking binge a temporary suicide - am hoping for a happy ending - but we shall see -
Finished your book - may have to try the other couple with this same character - let me brag a bit - I did suspect "who did it" from the beginning - don't think that gives anything away - (did not know the "why" of it tll the end) - enjoyed the character Fig and the entire "family of friends" -
You figured out whodunnit! Good job. I knew there would be readers who would, but you're right. This was a book about motivation. I wanted every reader to wonder why the guilty party did what they did. To me, that is actually more intriguing that what they did. Thanks for reading!
