Tell No Lies
by Julie Compton
ISBN: 9780312378752

Jack Hilliard has the perfect life. A family man with two young sons and a supportive wife whom he's loved since the day they met, he's also on the verge of being elected District Attorney of St. Louis. As secure at home as he is in the courtroom, he has plenty to fight for and nothing to hide.

But everything in Jack's life is not nearly as perfect as it seems, as he learns when he finally admits to being attracted to one of his old friends and colleagues, Jenny Dodson. Jack tries hard to put his feelings for her aside, but his attraction develops into an obsession that he can't control. What should have been a terrible mistake never to be repeated turns into even more when Jenny is accused of the murder of one of her clients and Jack is her only alibi. Now Jack's in the painful and precarious position of being trapped between saving a friend and
protecting his family.

Hello readers!

August 29 2008, 8:07 PM

Welcome to the preview of my book, Tell No Lies. The story is as much a "whodunit" as it is about love and betrayal and why the characters do what they do. I hope you enjoy reading it each day and look forward to any comments or questions you may have. -- Julie Compton

Thanks Karol and Susan!

I'm so pleased to hear you're enjoying Tell No Lies so far. I'd love to hear your thoughts as you get further into the story, too.

Karol, I wish I could tell you there are others novels on the shelf written by me, but this is my first. :-) I'm working on the revisions to my second novel right now, and if all goes well, it will be released sometime next year.

Thanks again! Hope you continue to enjoy it.

Julie

A very interesting start, can't wait to get further into the story especially now that trouble (Jennifer) walked through the door.

I keep getting reeled into the story more and more as the days go by.

I too am becoming "hooked" into this one. I already am angry at Jack and he hasn`t done or not done anything as yet! Good job of pulling the reader in!

Tell no Lies -

September 11 2008, 5:16 PM

Finally got this book from the "Hold list" at my library - am Loving it - am half way or so through - and it is definitely a page turner tho' not in the usual "mystery thriller" way - quite unusual - makes me wonder how the author came up with this premise - but I definitely give it 5 stars - am always glad to find a really good book and this is one - hope to see more books from this author -
