No, it's got nothing to do with settings (mine is a 32 bit high-end graphic system) it's just a matter of colours that play tricks with your eyes.
The fact that the BD material has got white fibers in it, makes that tiny bits of the white letters blend in with the back ground.
This is a test with your background, on the second section i changed the contrast and bightness a wee bit. Also the yellow might be an option?
As there is no yellow in the fabric, the text will no blend in with the back ground in any way.
