Response to Re: Has anybody seen "Above & Beyond"?
I received this movie thru Netflix and finally got around to viewing it.
It is overall pretty bad if you are looking for period gear, vehicles, aircraft, etc. I found myself picking out all the errors more than focusing on the story. They are really too numerous to mention!
Story is kind of interesting, but some of the characters and performances lack quite a bit. Others are quite good.
All CGI for flight sequences, which is pretty well done in some instances but still pretty obvious. Cinematography is overall very nice.
I only got through the 3/4's of it... am debating spending any more time on it.
As our own Vicar says on this forum, "any airplane movie is better than no air plane movie", but this is stretching the envelope a bit.
Perhaps a good diversion for an EXTREMELY rainy day.
