Bader "SHELL" Gas and Oil Company Canadian tour???

Did Douglas Bader ever tour across Canada in his twin engine Shell airplane??? As a young man I seem to recall seeing a pic of him and local First Nation natives smoking a peace pipe with headdress on. I am trying to jog some memories here with this one. Cheers Rob
