Goggles

Well the goggle part itself certainly looks like the usual dispatch riders type, and its puzzling that they dont have a fur surround as all the other types of MkIIs Ive seen have. But you have to wonder why someone would take a strap off a pair of Mk IIs to add to a less valuable pair of drivers goggles. Maybe a wartime mod because the MkII strap was more robust? Or are they civilian made based on RAF MkIIs, by someone such as Lewis? It seems odd to think that the strap is in good order but the original MkII goggles they were attached to might have been damaged beyond use.
