Response to Pilot? |
| Hi Ben,
Yes I was lucky to get this one. It first surfaced to the collecting world in the 1980's from the "Kent Sales" auctions. I can't find any owner's name inside and it would be impossible to determine who wore it as many pilots were trained via the ULAS. The suit is a private purchase one as most were. The A.M issued suits as seen in Mick's book are just about unobtainable.
As for the value: These are rare indeed. I suppose it could fetch anything from £200 up to maybe £700, if someone really wanted it! The ULAS badge would help the value too.
Ric, I am glad your mystery is now solved. Please post a photo of your ULAS shirt. I am really interested in University Squadron items.
Cheers
