Every so often I re-start up my research on the previous Owners of key items in my collection. I recently found some more tidbits of info which may relate to my RAF Type B. The one piece of info I have is the name and number written inside the helmet and I have found these two references to a P Adams in a 1924 copy of Flight magazine and the 1952 London gazette.
Considering the span of time involved with these entries and the age of the helmet essentially smack in the middle I imagine that it's unlikely that they all relate to the same person. The Gazette entry is interesting. Would anyone know if this meant that the Adams with the RAF Officers number was possibly a Canadian in the RAF and he relinquished his commission to join the RCAF in 1952?
It'd be great to find some more info to piece it together.
