| Early 1941 pattern Mae West kapoks were joined in the same fashion as the 1932 pattern pads. In addition they were made from rubberized cotton fabric similar to the '32 pads. The only real difference between '32 pads and early '41 was the shape of them. Later '41 pads omitted the linking tapes and were made from the more familiar calico. To date, all of the early style '41 pads I have seen have come with 'Flap-Type' 1941 Mae Wests. I hope this clears up this issue? |
