Can anybody give me any information on an RAF badge featuring the lightening flashes, but instead of a fist (the fist and sprks W/op badge) it features a red circle?
I have one, mint and in wartime style but have been dubious about it being WW2. I have the famous 'Nobbs Notes' compiled by Margaret Nobbs in the 1960s and 70s and its featured in there simply as Radar Operator, but no details of its introduction.
I picked up this photo last week, clearly showing the badge. Its wartime or at the latest 1948. Anyone add anything else?
