During the war there were various service film units one being the RAF Film Production Unit. They made the odd 'feature' film such as Journey together with Richard Attenborough, and many short instructional films.
I was wondering, does anyone know if they wore any special insignia? The Army Film and Photographic Unit (AFPU) wore a special arm patch.
Also, in a recent book ('From Bouncing Bombs to Concorde') about Sir George Edwards, It shows a picture of him at the end of the war as an 'Official RAF Observer' over in Europe. He is wearing RAF uniform with some sort of slip on title on the shoulder. Any Ideas?
Lastly, did any War Correspondants ever wear blue, and as such, titles?
